1. First you need a USB stick formatted to FAT32.
2. Download this file and place it on the USB stick, make sure it’s the only file on it.
3. Plug the USB stick into your car and make sure the radio is on. I would start to engine to make sure the ignition doesn’t turn off during the process.
4. Switch the radio to FM mode.
5. Open settings which is the bottom right button on the radio and navigate to Audio Settings > USB connection version > Display the software version.
6. If it says anything other than “s2.42m2.42” then you need to update.
7. Open settings which is the bottom right button on the radio and navigate to Audio Settings > USB connection version > Update Software.
8. The update will take 1-2 minutes and then you’re done!
